Artist History
Relentless came about in mid-1993 when Wade Packard mentioned interest in learning the bass guitar and Jeff said he'd do what he could to show him what he knew (Jeff is a workman's bassist). Both Jeff and Wade spent their formative years living in Ripon, WI and shared multiple friends and activities (like football). The also found themselves going to Ripon College years later... Jeff was two years ahead of Wade in High School and two years behind him in college, after a stint in the Marines. In any case, Wade and Jeff started jamming to KISS songs and whatever else felt cool and in no time Jeff realized that Wade was a damn good bassist beyond his few months of experience. After learning Detroit Rock City and a few other songs, the two decided... "Hey, we should learn more, write songs of our own, and then play on campus and win over all the women." So, they set out to conquer the campus (the world seemed too ambitious at the time). Together, and with the moniker 'Relentless' the two wrote 7 original songs and learned approximately 15 cover songs and played regularly at their fraternity house Lambda Delta Alpha. They were proud of their shows and, while never making any money (beyond one ill-fated gig at a campus-wide greek party where it seemed NO ONE wanted to hear metal), they did some things even the national acts were toning down. They blew off pyrotechnical effects, had fog, lights, and really tried to put energy into their shows, as much as two musicians can.
Since those college days, Jeff has moved to Milwaukee where he still dabbles in his own musical creations (check him out under 'Identity Unknown'). Wade is out in Los Angeles after stints in Tallahassee, Las Vegas, and Chicago where he is focusing on the Hollywood side of the entertainment business (movies and tv).
Relentless was a raw rock and roll band by design. Both Wade and Jeff preferred the style of 'rockers' to 'musicians'. They knew they weren't perfect and wanted fun to be more of an emphasis than musical bravado. These songs are provided for our college buds to relive the Relentless college days and for anyone new to check them out as well. ENJOY! |

Press Reviews
Hey, it was Heavy Metal when metal was far from cool... some liked us... some hated us. To some we were cool... to some, we sucked. Hear for yourself! Keep in mind, on the live stuff, that its essentially only two people performing and what you hear is absolutely unmixed and unedited directly from the soundboard. |
