Artist description Jim is an experienced rock lead guitarist. Although primarily known for his work with melodic hard rock band NORWAY, he is a versatile player who has played in cover bands doing everything from Southern Rock like Allman Bros.,Grateful Dead,& Marshall Tucker to progressive rock such as Yes, Pink Floyd & Jethro Tull. On this site, Jim will be previewing material of all styles and genres including AOR & melodic hard rock, blues, acoustic, new age, movie soundtracks, as well as the odd bits and pieces of music that seem interesting.

Artist History Playing guitar since age 10, Jim is a self-taught musician. In addition to guitar, he taught himself bass, drums and keyboards. Writing both music and lyrics, Jim co-writes all of NORWAY's songs with longtime partner Glenn Pierson. Jim also produces the bands’ demos and handles the synth programming and sequencing. His main axes are a custom black Fender Strat, a Gibson Les Paul, and a Jackson Randy Rhodes. Other gear includes Yamaha and Charvel acoustics, and Yamaha and Korg keyboards. Jim is a product of the busy New Jersey club scene, having years of experience performing with a number of groups. In addition to performing, he has worked professionally as a FOH mixer, and is a self-admitted tech head that enjoys computers. His musical influences run from Jimi Hendrix, Beatles,Todd Rundgren and Eric Clapton to Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Deep Purple and Bon Jovi.
