Artist History
Years back, Joe Allocco instant messaged Dan Schiels on AOL and asked him if he wanted to be in a hardcore band. He said yes. Later on, John Crawford and Stefan Wolansky jumped ship (literally) into Wafflestomper. In search of a drummer, they thought they found the perfect one in one Freshman Jeff. Sadly, his talent was not up to piratecore standards, and he was dropped like a bad habit. Dave Pier was also enlisted, but he already had obligations to two bands and just couldn't make it. Finally, we thought Dana Miller could do it, and he could. After a practice or two, everything was cool, until Dana's head grew larger and he demanded more control of the band. Startled, the four members of Wafflestomper kicked his ass and threw him on the street. Finally, we found Spence Griffith, and with his PA system, drumset, and many amps, we thought we had found our guy. Sadly, Spence and Stefan have recently left the band due to creative differences, but remain friends with the band. Wafflestomper found a perfect drummer in Matt Hand, however. Hes always there to have fun and rock the fuck out, and he knows what it means to be a pirate. After a rotating cast of drummers, we now play the best piratecore on the East Coast, blazing saddles, plundering villages, and rocking crowds. |

Press Reviews
"Hoods. Chanting. Call and response. Incensed crowds. No, i'm not talking about the kkk. Nor some macabre underground cheerleading squad. I'm talking about Wafflestomper, the band from New Providence that's breaking every rule in the book, and we like it." - Annie Reeds, reviewing Wafflestomper's Battle of the Bands 2002 performance. | "They put on an amazing show", "I think they rock! The live show is what gets them over, and it's a crazy one, I'd pay to see them again.", "Fucking awesome. They were original, something I can't say about MOST of the other bands at BOTB. That baby song was sweet shit. Wish they had a cd." - Comments from other concertgoers at the same Battle of the Bands. | "You guys just rock live so much that it doesnt matter how complicated the music is, just as long as everyone wants to go nuts and smash their heads into a wall." - Paul Theratil
