Artist History Pooch Houndie was started in early 2001 by Aaron Hamby (vocals, guitar). He needed to get his two "musically gifted" friends, Matt Nelson (drums) and Daniel Qualls (bass, BVGs) to play, so he asked them. An they said, "...yes."When asked, "Why the name Pooch Houndie?" Aaron's responce is, "My grandma's childhood dog's name was Pooch Houndie, and I thought that was a good original name, but stingkissbackstreetboyswholive3doorsdown is original too."
