History: Pooch Houndie was started in early 2001 by Aaron Hamby (vocals, guitar). He
needed to get his two "musically gifted" friends, Matt Nelson (drums) and
Daniel Qualls (bass, BVGs) to play, so he asked them. And they said, "...yes."
When asked, "Why the name Pooch Houndie?" Aaron's responce is, "My grandma's
childhood dog's name was Pooch Houndie, and I thought that was a good original
name, but stingkissbackstreetboyswholive3doorsdown is original too."
Influences: Pooch Houndie's music is original and our lyrics are from our own "challenged based minds".
Aaron said, "We have a lot of lyrical and musical inspirations one cheifly being
Weezer...they get us amped."
News: Pooch Houndie is currently working on a new song for an MP3.com exclusive, a punk rockin'jam called Roughwxne the Trout.
