Artist description
Waldon Reed, Jr. has been a freelance guitarist, instructor and composer in the Detroit area since 1982. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in guitar performance from Marygrove College (1989) and his Master of Music degree in composition from Wayne State University in Detroit (1992). In 1999, he released his debut CD, Resonance Reconnaissance, and in June of 2000 the eagerly anticipated 2nd release, From Today Until Dark, began it's assault on the mp3 charts. If you're a fan of soaring, rip-roaring, never boring, wipe the flooring, can't be ignoring guitar heroics, then this music is for you. |

Artist History
Waldon and Paul have been playing fusion jazz together for over 10 years. Norm Euker was a mainstay on the drums until '99 when he decided to pack it in and concentrate on the day gig. George Wietecha stepped up to the challenge and is responsible for all the superb percussion work on the From Today Until Dark and Songs of Truth and Judgment recordings (Songs of Truth and Judgment is due out in November of 2002).
A fourth CD is slated for release in mid 2003. |

Press Reviews
Testimonies for ?From Today Until Dark? - ?This is a great album, we were fortunate to hear several tracks before the release and played them on ArtistLaunch's Premiere Artist Show. The music is flawless, the guitar playing is incredible. Ev eryone I know that has heard Waldon Reed, Jr. has come away impressed, from jazz to metal fans. As a retired music critic, I'd compare this material to the music of the early releases (and Trident sessions) of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and instrumental Jeff Beck. Honestly, I prefer Waldon Reed, Jr. to Jeff Beck and the whole slew of shred guitarists that he will likely be compared to.? Bruce Satinover www.artistlaunch.com ?Absolutely breathtaking stuff!!!!? Phil Traynor ?Just in case you are not familiar with him, Waldon Reed Jr. is one of the finest artists at mp3.com. The new material is superb.? Wayne Marshall Chase "I hate to drop names and compare new artists to existing artists...for fear of forever locking that association in a p otential new listener's brain....it would be better if you just go listen to Waldon Reed, Jr. yourself....he is in the same league as Satriani, Vai, Metheny and any of the other modern guitar virtuosos you can think of..."
