Artist History
GREG WILDER has had works commissioned and performed by ensembles and musicians all over the world including: conductor David Gilbert, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Bicinia Trio, the University of Rochester Wind Ensemble, the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and baritone Andreas Poulimenos. His music has been performed in the United States, Canada, the Czech-Republic, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Estonia. (national radio and television broadcasts)His list of awards and honors include those from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, ASCAP, Austin Peay State University, Britten-on-the-Bay, MTNA, the International Center for American Music, and Bowling Green State University. GREG WILDER began his musical pursuits at age of four. After years of piano study, he began composing his own works which led him to receive a Bachelors of Music degree from Bowling Green State University in 1996. Currently, he is working toward the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in composition and piano at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.Mr. Wilder's composition teachers include: George Rochberg, Robert Morris, Joseph Schwantner, Sydney Hodkinson, and Samuel Adler. |
