Artist History The original incarnation of what was to be Crack Sunday was formed in 1995 with a band called Free Crack on Sunday. At the time it was just three members strong with Seth Davis on the drums, Don McHale on the guitar and Wahas Bahas on the bass. They played a couple gigs when Norm Major was asked to join one of thier rehersals. He then became a member of the band, which shortly after changed names to Liquid Children. Under that name, they made a short three song demo whith the tracks: Tar, Woman, and a work in progress which didn't have a name. They also put together a few covers including The Lemon Song by Led Zepplin and She's So Heavy by The Beatles. The band stayed pretty steady for about six months, when Wahas was asked to leave the band. He formed another band with Don and Seth for a short time which focused more on funk and blues while Liquid Children went on to more alternative and progressive rock styles and thus changing the name again, this time to Fracture. Norm, Seth and Don played as a trio for a few months as they looked for a guitarist. In 1996, Richard Todd was asked to join the band. At that time, the band had about four songs in the works, with no vocals or guitar parts. They rehearsed anywhere and everywhere. Some of the rehearsals took place in Don's garage, some at a rent-by-the-hour studio called Grand Studios and for a few months, they played outside of an abandoned office building in Tustin. Later that year, they found a studio for rent in Orange and decided to get serious and move in. Early in 1997, another guitarist joined the band, Brian Sagan. His influence came from the heart of heavy metal and he added a hard edge to the band. During his time with the band, the name changed again, this time to Teleri. Under Teleri, the band cut a four song demo with the tracks: I Won't Believe, Dream, Lights Out, and a cover song by King Crimson called Red. Shortly before they played their first gig at a coffee shop called Cyrano's, Brian left the band because of artistic differences. He made a return appearance to play that gig. After Brian's departure, the band changed it's name back to Free Crack on Sunday, but because of the difficulty of finding gigs under that name, it was mutually agreed that they would shorten the name to Crack Sunday.Since then, the band has written about 15 songs and have played many gigs throughout Orange County and one in L.A. County. In August of 2000, Crack Sunday played its last show with Don, who was accepted to Berkeley School of Music. Noel Lairson was asked to join the band on bass in December.
