Artist History
Jedediah grew up in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the son of a Lobsterman who read Joyce out loud to his childeren nigh by every moon. Jed learned to play guitar, bass, drums, and piano by age 5 and by age 10 he could imitate Sam Cooke's purient vocal style so convincingly that Jackie Wilson tried to have him murdered from beyond the grave. Luckily, Jed survived the attempt on his life and began writing songs. His first band, Breakfast for Hire, recorded a 7" in the summer of 1902 when Jed was a mere teenager. Jed went on to form many bands with many oddly dressed people and recorded an album with nearly every one of them, though rarely were more than two ever pressed. Nevertheless (one word is it?), in Jed's impressive oevre (carn't read French) their are more than 900 recorded songs, most of them completely non-existent, and nearly every other one brilliant. As for these songs, they are various and have qualities, and no one can take that away from Jed.=g |
