Artist History
7LeTTeR ALpHaBeT started in 1995. I'm the only original member (Bryce), but I like the stupid name. So if you can't figure it out, TOO BAD! Naw, in the musical scale there are 7 letters used, hence the creative name. We try to mix up different punk styles in our music, playing from pop-punk to hardcore. Sorry, no crybaby emo stuff. At least I hope not! So here's a story about a band. The orginal form of 7LeTTeR ALpHaBeT was: Myself, playing guitar; Dan Barry, playing bass and Bill somebody, playing drums. We played a few shows. Bill introduced us to Dave, an outragous guitarist who had been playing since he was 6 years old. We instantly clicked together. Dave joined the band. Eventually I went to art school in Pittsburg, and Dan went to A music recording school in NYC. I dropped out of school and after a while Dave reappeared. So, I started playing bass. We started play a bit more aggressive style, and when Dan moved back we decided to go our seperate ways. After a show in Aarshall with alot of shitty ass bands, we had a party at my house. Sometime during the night Bill procceeded to piss me off and I haven't seen him since. We had been playing shows in Grand Rapids, and often opened for this band SACRAMENTAL. We asked their drummer, Rob, if he wanted to play a couple of shows with us while we found a new drummer. Rob was a seasoned drummer in the area and had no trouble picking up the songs. He ended up staying. We always wanted another guitarist and had tried a couple different ones. Rob suggested his guitarist from SACRAMENTAL, Jeff. Dave and I had seen both Rob and Jeff's former bands and decided this was deffinently the guys we had been looking for. Since then We have put a song on Skratch magazine's What you'd expect for free vol 6 (STUPID KIDS) and vol. 9. (SERENADE FOR THE SHE-DEVIL)! Our first full lenght album "Serenade For The She-Devil" is out on Starvation Records NOW. Like I've said before I really don't like writing about myself so this might be a shitty bio but it's better than the last one! |
