Artist History
Born 1947, raised on the Wellington Plantation in
the northern section of the Fla. Everglades,
Steamboat chopped sugar cane and picked tomatoes
with Mexican, Cuban and Black migrant farm workers
as a young boy.He rarely heard anything but latino
music until on his 12th birthday he got a radio
and picked up a station that was playing Sonny Boy
Williamson's version of "The Sky is Crying" The
sound of that Harmonica was something he just couldn't
get over. Now after four decades he is considered
by many as one of the last of the truely authentic
bluesmen! |
