Artist description
Vicious is the alias of Mike Osler: DJ, vocalist, pianist, programer, producer. Mike records all of this shite by himself at his home, layer by layer. He incorporates a clever sense of humor along with insights into his lyrics and is coming along as a DJ to provide a unique and full sound. For live performances DJ Satori often spins the tracks and cuts the vinyl and the stage is strattled by two intimidating Nuttkickers, though sometimes it is just Vicious kickin' it on stage by himself. The Kings of 9CN will usually join him on stage for a song or two, also. |

Artist History
In August of 2000, Mike Osler (keyboardest of The Flaming Moes) decided to explore his different tastes of music and write a funny rap song about his friend Ryan Garza (G-Loc) called "Homie Beats" as a joke. He recorded the song and was suprised with the strong positive reaction he got. Come November, he recorded a couple more songs and then dicided to create a whole album. He dubbed himself "Vicious", dedicated to the ex-Kottonmouth King member St. Vicious. The full-length album "It's Time To Get Famous" was shortly finished and released on Jan. 16, 2001. It features 17 tracks including appearances by friends Phunk Masta Phat and El Bobo Rey of rap group Nine Chicks Nailed, G-Loc, and Dylan Wade on bass for "Fight Me". He has currently sold just under 100 albums under his own record label "Nuttkick Records". He has performed live at the Ranch Bowl Entertainment Center in Omaha and at the A.L.H.S. Battle of the Bands. On May 12, 2001 (the same date of A.L.H.S. BOTB) he released a follow-up EP to "Famous" entitled "Flash Metal!!!" It features 7 tracks of Viciousness including "Marionette" and "The Birds (feat. G-Loc)" and two skits from the hilarious Kevin Smith's "Clerks" animated cartoons. He is currently working in Iowa City at his new Ownage Studios on a number of projects such as his live performance CD from 5/12, a scratch/break beats vinyl with fellow DJ/producer Justin Heckman (Satori), an instrumental album, and his second full-length album "Cycle" tenetively said to be released mid-2002. |
