Artist History
Johnny Mercury and His Hot Rockets was formed in 1994 originating from the hills of West Virginia.
The band has played with artists like Hasil Adkins, Mojo Nixon, Sleepy LaBeef, Ray Campi, Big Sandy, Ruthie and the Wranglers, Rockin' Lloyd Tripp and the ZipGuns, Pep Torres, and TWO of Sun Records Legendary Recording Artists - Barbara Pittman and Rudy "Tutti" Grayzell.
They've also performed at rockabilly weekenders (Viva Las Vegas) and at CBGB's. The band has credits with independant film soundtracks and compilation CD's. Johnny relocated to Portland, OR at the end of 2000 to continue playing rockabilly/roots music for the new millenium. |
