Press Reviews
In 1986, pianist Isobel Moore suggested to Shauna Rolston the idea of transcribing this violin sonata for the cello. The young cellist promptly accepted this artistic challenge. Overcoming the technical problems of changing tessitura and balance while leaving the original piano part intact, she successfully completed the transcription and performed it for the first time with Menahem Pressler at the Banff Centre in Canada on March 28th of the same year. |
