    Artist description
The bands sound is varied... it changes with every song. We attempt toutilize all ideas that the band members have in each song that we write. Wehave fast hardcore songs and slower more melodic songs, and thingseverywhere in between. It keeps you on your toes, because you never knowwhat you're in for... just the way we like it.

    Melodic Hardcore

    Artist History
This band is formed of the remnants of three bands: The Deviants (Al); Fuzz 58 (Christian); and Storebought (Kavan & xkamx). The band was formed in November of 1999 originally with Christian and xkamx and a crazy Brazillian metal God named Alex. We quickly picked up Al after we were audibly raped by Alex a little too often, and eventually our original bass player, Chris Richards, was put into the mix. The band was named FrontLine at that point, after a long tribulatory process trying to aquire a name. We then recorded a three song demo, for the sole purpose of landing a show with H2O when they were going to come through Vancouver in March of 2000. We made a video of our second show and this with the demo (and relentless pestering) was enough to allow our third show to be opening for Anti-Flag and H2O. We then proceeded to play shows locally in the Vancouver area until August, when we left to tour the west coast and record our full-length at Succulent Sounds Studios in Los Angeles, California. After we got back from this wonderfully successful tour and unfortunately found that our bass player had had the epiphany that our professional progress as a band was now a little bit beyond what he could justify outside of his schoolwork. So we parted ways. This hole in the group was soon filled by an enthusiastic kid from Smithers named Eric. At this time as well, we had discovered that there was a racist band from Utah with the same name as us. So we quested for a new name and came up with "Break of Day". Then, much to our great disappointment, Eric found that he couldn't keep up his end of the weight, due to creative differences, and conflicts in interest between him and the other members of the band. Thus we had the same hole again... And to add insult to injury, it was discovered that there was a band from New York already called Break of Day. So now we had no bass player and no name once again. But xkamx remembered a promise that a good friend and former bandmate had made to him a couple of years back, which was basically "if you ever need a bass player, call me". So xkamx did. And now Kavan (who made the promise) is playing in the band, free of any political or social differences that may effect his desire to remain in the band. Now with a solid bass player, we only needed a name. We ended up agreeing on "One Good Word" because it was something that has meaning to us, and it has the ability to have different meanings for everyone individually. Our future plans have us stepping this bad boy up a couple of notches to try to acheive a bigger audience through the release of our CD and an extensive tour schedule over the next year.
