A song about having the strength to get out of an abusive relationship. And abusive is not meant in the physical sense per say,(although the song still holds true to that), but rather a relationship where the two people involved are keeping each other miserable. The strength to realize that it was good while it lasted, but it's now time to move on. The respect to oneself and their partner to move on, and not hold on out of some selfish sense of comfort or ease. |
