Artist History
David started classical piano lessons when he was 7 under the stern discipline of his organist mother. By the time he was 16 he was playing gigs with a rock and roll band and starting to compose. This was the time of Bill Haley and the Comets, Fats Dominoe, and The Platters. Then life (ie. children) intervened and he took a real job. Since those days he has seen a lot of the world mainly from the deck of his sailboat in which he has crossed most of the world's oceans, cruising many of the islands along the way. During all this time he has been composing melodies and themes as a sort of musical notebook to his many years of travel. Now finally he has begun arranging these sketches into formal compositions. "Ocean Requiem" is the first of several albums of this music. |
