Don't be put off by the name, harmonically this piece is one of the richest on the whole album. It opens with a slow drum pattern that is soon joined by gorgeous pseudo strings laying down the main chord changes. A solo oboe comes in over top finally introducing the main theme. Then comes the first bridge which is a new theme and new chord progression and is the real 'storm' part of the piece. The drums thicken up and the brass builds to a crashing crescendo. The piece then returns to the original chord progression but with a new aggressive theme that just SINGS. |

This is almost a piano concerto in miniature. It opens with a beautifull solo piano playing the first theme but is soon joined by harmonizing violins playing a new counter theme. New themes keep appearing based on the original chord progressions, moving back and forth between the piano and violins. |

This piece begins with a flute solo with piano accompaniament with strings coming in later to introduce the main theme. The feel is traditional, but then there is a break and suddenly the mood changes with a more moody electronic sound and a new theme that builds into a series of rich crescendos. |
