Artist History
I started creating electronic music in 1970. Creating a new sound meant running to the local electronic parts store, buying some 14-pin integrated circuits, and wiring them up on a breadboard. Then came my professor's ARP2600, Buchla, and Moog synthesizers, along with tape loops, and then wonderful PAIA with their modular and affordable (if not audiophile) system. By the late 70's, after Tangerine Dream had blown my mind and my confidence, I gave up on composing music, although I still loved listening to it, and playing the keyboard. I write software for a living; for the last 14 years it's been computer and video games. I know what computers can do; I just didn't realize what had already been done, and how well. I purchased Fruity Loops in March 2003, and have been having a blast. |
