Artist History I've been writing since birth. . .short stories. . . LONG stories, poetry, you name it. But since '96 when I picked up that pen and my paper and wrote that poem that RHYMED to this one dyme, damn, it's been on since then. . . (and I guess that's why my boyz criticize me 'bout having too many girl tunes, I just luvvz women) School shows, talent shows. . . too many on the corner, stairwell, or park battles to remember. . . open mics at clubs. . . ON mics at clubs where it was MY peoples throwing the jams. MMMMM. We been moving up steadily still. I'm not trying to be a one hit wonder. We're doing this right. I remember back in the day. Me and my boy used to make songs by taking a beat, a ghetto tape deck and two tapes, record the beat with our vocals onto the blank tape with this OLD SCHOOL mic my pops had from the 70's, take THAT tape and put in the master deck . . . play the beat with vocals, and lay overdubs onto the second blank tape. . then keep switching back and forth until it was done. (u follow?) TERRIBLE quality, but it was all we had. We pushed the limits of the equipment to be as creative as we could . . . years passed. Now look at this. . . got a demo studio set up. JUST got a nice Apex 430 mic, the studio standard, put it in the home made vocal booth. And I'm smiling. I'm laughing. What am I doing now? Working on the album. The EP's pretty much done. Recording other people's music. Shoot, I'm gonna be in a play for crying out loud. What am I gonna do after the album's done? Go back to the clubs. . . raid this city like kids on a PlayGround . . . that's what I'm gonna do. You should see the documents, this is plans in motion since '96. . . And I'm right where I wanna be.
