Artist description
I just completed my degree requirements for a Bachelor of Music: Theory/Composition Degree at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I primarily write in a more experimental style for a variety of mediums. I am considerably experienced in writing electronic music: I have composed electronic popular music of different types (rap, electronica, fusion, etc.), and I have composed dozens of experimental electronic compositions utilizing most pre-existing techniques (concrète, MIDI, algorithmic, etc.). I have also composed four electro-acoustic pieces, one for piano and electronic sounds (Fantasy for Piano and Electronic Sounds), one for ten percussionists and electronic sounds (Supplication), one for marimba and electronic sounds (Rhapsody: A Rambling Composition for Marimba and Electronic Sounds) and the other for trombone and electronic sounds (Dialogue and Thoughts Heard Simultaneously between Trombone and Electronic Sounds), all of which have been performed. I also have experience in orchestration and writing for large ensembles (including orchestra and wind ensemble). Two of my works for orchestra have been publicly performed, one by the UMD Symphony Orchestra (Fantasy Interlude for Orchestra) and the other by the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra (Modicum One 2-1202). |
