Artist History The ensemble TANGO FIVE brings together four exceptional musicians, whose artistic personalities could not be more diverse, but who have the most important thing in common: the desire to bring different musical cultures closer together. All four studied both classical music and jazz. RAUL JAURENA from Montevideo is presently one of the top bandoneon players in the USA. He has worked together with Astor Piazzolla, Yo-Yo Ma, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Giora Feldman and many other outstanding musicians in classical, jazz and tango worlds. Apart from his regular performances in New York, he is a permanent guest at various music festivals all over the world.
