Artist History Led by bassist/keyboardist/Chapman Stick player Scott Richards, who was also the band’s primary songwriter, GLASS HOUSE spent 9 years from ’84 to ’93 writing and performing their eclectic, far from mainstream blend of 70’s prog and 80’s pop, never quite garnering the acclaim they deserved amid the L.A. Sunset Strip hair band/techno-pop scene. The band never recorded a full length album or CD but produced several demos through each of its incarnations – ranging from bedroom 4 track recordings to full 24 trk productions. These demos reveal not only the improvements the band made as the lineups were changed, but also the evolution of Scott’s writing and producition abilities. He is currently working on his debut solo CD release that will incude a cover of Kevin Gilbert’s “Best Laid Plans”.
