Artist History
Four brothers growing up in Ridgewood, NJ, were all budding cartoonists while still in their single-digit years. Thom sprouted past us all and (as Scott Roberts) now puts out the “Patty Cake” comic, while working on various ventures, including with Nickelodeon. Meanwhile, back on the verge of teendom, Dave, Jeff and Jim (in that age order) began writing songs while deciding on their instruments (no final decisions yet). Home recording began in the early 80’s with Jeff... Jim was equipped by ‘85... & Dave finally had “the solo-option” in ‘97. Recording in pairs, trio, or bringing in Thom, is always embraced, when schedules / work /or energy allow... but most often you’d find one of us setting up in his cramped little room to flesh out another of the hundreds of songs waiting on deck. |
