Artist History
Following recent appearances in Scotland, Manchester and London, audiences have been surprised and fascinated by Kate''s truly natural vocal ability and the force from where it comes. Kate's extremely flexible voice, its alluring tone and sheer vocal character have captivated listeners at each and every performance. Kate's magnetic stage presence, her very skilfully written Rock R&B songs, with haunting melodies and emotional lyrics, and her sheer determination, all combine, on stage, to create a very powerful and memorable experience for any audience. Kate is the proverbial ''one woman Rock band '', once seen, never forgotten. Many music pundits have drawn comparisons between Kate and other famous female artists but without doubt, whereas these comparisons are very valid, Kate possesses her own quite unique talents, which will not easily be dismissed. |

Press Reviews
She got a bucket full of energy and a pocket full of guitar strings! The lady of rock will give you quite a nice shock, with her deep tones of mystery & her Jimmy Hendrix plucks. Influenced by the 70s & 21st Century. Kate Cassidy is professional singer with more attitude than a pit bull terrier, when she's on stage she's in control, if you thought Tina Turner was good you aint seen nothing yet. Kate is 1 lady who can definitely hold a note! Her style of writing and performing is a cut above the rest, this woman really can play the guitar & sing at the same time, she really doesn't mime! There are few words to describe Kate's music, the best thing to do is listen to it.

Kate Cassidy has been crowned Scotland's New Queen Of Rock and quite rightly so with her incredible vocal talent and superb worldwide live performances. Her songs cover a wide range of genres similar to the likes of Tori Amos and Alannis Morrisette, but here we see Kate in a solo acoustic performance, accompanied only by her guitar and her unique vocals, charged with emotion and conviction. You can feel her pain as she lets out her heartbreak and self-suffering, looking back at a love that is lost, right to the point where, perhaps, she can take no more, but at the same time stretching out her arms in hope towards that distant light at the end of the tunnel. There will not be a dry eye in the house. Hugely recommended. ..Mikey J
A nice midtempo Adult Alternative Rocker This tune is one I would not mind hearing a couple times a day on the radio. It create a mood of tension and release much as Sheryl Crow does but with much stronger vocal performance. This one has me hooked I keep going back and listening again. Bobby Bensley
If Jewel were to go out with a psychic, and that psychic were to pick her brain, and come back from that meeting with a portfolio of information on how to make a contemporary folk song, we would have a problem. How do you decipher information such as that? Call Kate Cassidy, acoustic one-woman state of feel. She could break that information into manageable bits of code that would come out quite close to "Shame The Devil"...... jaguar@abilnet.com
