Artist History Kate Cassidy is from Glasgow Scotland, her growing
reputation and brilliant live performances have earned her the title Scotlands
New Queen of Rock, and is much respected as a unique singer/songwriter. Kate
has lived and worked in London, New York, California, Nashville and Alabama
Tennessee, co-writing and singing original material, Kate has worked with such
talents as Steve Skinner producer/engineer (Tailor Dane), songwriters Shelly

and many other talented artists from all over.
Kate has worked with Steve Melton of Muscle Shoals Alabama,
producer engineer, (Joan Biaz, Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Art Garfunkel, Wilson
picket) etc. From Kates recent appearances in Manchester and London, unexpecting
audiences have been surprised and fascinated, at the ability of this voice and
the force from were it comes. It is electric, powerful and alluring, Kates
Style of Rock R&B song writing and self-determination, has given her an edge
that is more like a one woman rock band.
There are many fantastic voices you could compare Kate Cassidy
to; Sheryl Crow, Joan Biaz, Areatha Franklin, Maggie Bell, Tina Turner, Tori
Amos, Etheridge and Alannis Morrisette, but none more unique than this Scottish
artist! This is a world-class voice not to be dismissed!

This song is about the innocence of youth and the hard road they have to take, when they dont have much guidance, its about love peace and hope for all there futures and there childrens, children
It is about the voice inside we sometimes don’t hear because we are to busy, doing other things not half as important as them, finally it is about the wonderful, joy they bring when walking in to a room and lighting it up, there honest truth, and much needed wisdom, most of all their courage and undying loyalty.

"In Your Hands" A nice midtempo Adult Alternative Rocker This tune is one I would not mind hearing a couple times a day on the radio. It create a mood of tension and release much as Sheryl Crow does but with much stronger vocal performance. This one has me hooked I keep going back and listening again. Bobby Bensley

Kate Cassidy has been crowned Scotland's New Queen Of Rock and quite rightly so with her incredible vocal talent and superb worldwide live performances. Her songs cover a wide range of genres similar to the likes of Tori Amos and Alannis Morrisette, but here we see Kate in a solo acoustic performance, accompanied only by her guitar and her unique vocals, charged with emotion and conviction. You can feel her pain as she lets out her heartbreak and self-suffering, looking back at a love that is lost, right to the point where, perhaps, she can take no more, but at the same time stretching out her arms in hope towards that distant light at the end of the tunnel. There will not be a dry eye in the house. Hugely recommended. ..Mikey J |
