Artist description
Washed in a strange, contemplative aura reminiscent of New Age pianist George Winston, Parada's "Time And Place" unfolds with lulling plays between major and minor keys. But there is a melodic trickery that sets the young artist's playing apart from composers like Winston and offers moments of diversions wherein notes jump out unexpectedly from chordal drones. With a catalogue of some 15 personal solo piano works recorded, Parada sets out legitimizing his stance as a rising young talent. |

Artist History
Parada's awakening to music was preceded by a quiet boyhood in El Salvador, where he lived for seven years before moving to Guatemala, St. Petersburg Florida, Kalamazoo Michigan, London Ontario, and finally Chicago Illinois in 1998. He took private lessons with Bruce Russel, a native of Kalamazoo who once taught piano at the University of Southern California. Parada also lived temporarily in Sedona, Arizona. Here his artistic and musical vision took root, inspired by the natural surroundings and his life experience.Engrossed in all the creative possibilites music has to offer, Diego Parada sets off on a prodigious musical career with the release of his self-produced compact disc, "Time And Place." |
