Diego Parada : Time And Place
Washed in a strange, contemplative aura
reminiscent of New Age pianist George Winston,
Parada's "Time And Place" unfolds with lulling
plays between major and minor keys. But there is
a melodic trickery that sets the young artist's
playing apart from composers like Winston and
offers moments of diversions wherein notes jump
out unexpectedly from chordal drones. With a
catalogue of some 15 personal solo piano works
recorded, Parada sets out legitimizing his stance
as a rising young talent.
