Artist description a politically and socially motivated band, Rise Above write songs with meaning and message, something that the band feels is lacking in music today. the songs come from the images drawn from the world around us, which is disintergrating and spiralling itself away. a better, working solution needs to be presented and Rise Above have the correct Marxist attitude to coincide with the inevitable success of revolution in the future. Musically, the band is straight forward heavy music, with a bit of melody and a bit of screaming.

Artist History Rise Above in its embryonic form began as a 70s cover band in 1999 to play at 40th birthday gigs, but the Rise Above as we know it today began in January of 2000 and since, the band have played around the local traps and gained a fairly big following around the area.
