    Artist History
Kittenfreaky was started after Cindy Pop had seen a local art band of two woman named Guitar Boy and a performance poet named Barnes perform at Highways in Santa Monica. A person she had recently met came to an art show of hers and went home and sang her a song she wrote about her art show. She invited Viva to her house and found out that Viva had always wanted to start a band too and even though neither of them could play an instrument - that was how Kittenfreaky came to be. Viva left the band in July 2001 and was replaced by Nurit, soon Robin Carter joined the band, after a relentless search for a girl drummer, the Kittens met John Blue of 1000 Pieces who joined the band as a drummer. For the fun of it all he dresses like a girl and goes by the name Mary Maglite. The band is having a blast right now!
