Artist description
Emerging from the sensual beat of urban culture pulsing amidst a blend of the lush ocean, island, mountain, and water environments of Hawaii and the Pacific Coast, the music of Cat Tanzu's electric guitar, keyboards and percussion unleash imagery inspired by scenes of languid beaches and cloud-laced skies to hard driving streets and darkened city skylines. |

Press Reviews
"Pat Metheny comes to mind when listening to Cat Tanzu. It is smooth modern jazz that creates a dreamscape of tranquility and peacefulness. I especially liked the guitar tracks and the interaction between the guitar and fender rhodes keyboard that lends itself to bands such as Weather Report and Pat Metheny. We know what great music has come from there. Just add this to the pile of great music from Seattle and watch the jazz scene as Cat Tanzu is accepted into this hard to get into club of eclectic musicians." - IndieSpin 4/29/01. |
