Artist History
The band Grabb was originally formed back in 1980 with the interesting name "Tiger Rose" from a friendshipdeveloped between Lawrence Grabb and Rich Goldin. Goldin has a BS degree from Northeastern University and Lawrence Grabb has a BS from Univ. of Mass. Tiger Rose performed a mix of originals and survived in various forms until its split in 1984. Goldin and Grabb reunited to form Napaj (noted as Japan spelled backwards) and released various vinyl works including a four song EP entitled "Child" in 1986. This work received some critical affirmation from WBCN, 104.7, Boston, although, at the time, the vanity press for vinyl didn't help with distribution. Goldin moved to Idaho and performed with The Rebecca Scott Decision, and started his own band "Key 36". Goldin and Grabb have reunited now in the summer of 2000 to bring you this wonderful mix of mystical songs drawing upon the talents of those who worked with them over the last 20 years. Lawrence (henceforth referred to as Larry)draws upon the impressive talents of his younger brother Marc Grabb, to play electric guitar and vocals. Marc was a student of Rich Goldin and they have recorded piles of unreleased material which sits in the vaults at TRIAD RECORDING COMPLEX, WARWICK, RI. Goldin's industry knowledge expanded as he worked at KF95 and gleaned the knowledge of two industry insiders, Kevin Welch, PD for KINK Portland, OR and Rockwell Smith, audio engineer for Journal Broadcast Group. Stay tuned for more neat stuff from this group of interesting characters. |
