Again, layered use of 12 string Ovation guitar and six string with a simple A - G - D progression. This song was written by Larry about 12 years ago and performed by the progenitor of Grabb, Napaj. Out Of My Hands was performed differently in that Rich Goldin, played 6 string acoustic live and provided the use of octaves/fifths vs. Larry's basic triad interpretation. If you know the song, some of you may prefer the octave-fifth guitar relation in that it gives the song a more mandolin-like flavor vs. the Happy pop style heard here. However, the flute once again invokes some sort of mysticism. All the while, echoing Ian Anderson and his magnificant strains of "Fat Man" from the Stand-Up album. |
