Artist History
The first band (1990-1992) featured Eben Brooks, Allison Lonsdale, and three other talented lunatics: Enrique Acosta, who is now singing with the folk rock band Messin' with Dragons (formerly Icarus) in Kern County; Fawn (now Lorien) Patton, a singer-songwriter-guitarist who now plays solo gigs in Los Angeles and has a CD entitled "Quest"; and Laurie Flieder, who still plays a mean flute and whistle, but not professionally. This version of the band played at the Dragonwood Faire, McCabe's in Santa Monica, the Fret House in Covina, and the Metaphor in Escondido as well as the San Diego Comic-Con and a variety of SCA and coffeehouse gigs. The second band (1992) still had Eben and Allison, but they were now joined by: Rachel Amov, who now plays fiddle with the San Diego band Strange Woods; Merisa Bissinger, who went off to do gamelan music with an Indonesian ensemble; Martin Brooks, who has been in recovery from Renaissance Faire for a few years and is now living in Chicago; and Perry Dockins, whose whereabouts are no longer known to us (but we wish him well, and miss his excellent gumbo). This line-up only played one show at Comic-Con before folks headed off in various directions. After burning down, falling over and then sinking into the swamp, the third and current incarnation of the band is still up and has been since 1994. However, we have had three casualties to date: Suzi Cavaness, who moved back home to North Shore of Lake Tahoe in the fall of 1996; Allison Lonsdale, who left the band in 1997 to pursue her individual interests and concentrate on her solo music; and Marc Biagi, who is avidly pursuing a career in voice acting. |
