The Wild Oats played a mutated brand of Celtic and original folk at San Diego area coffee houses, science fiction conventions, Renaissance Faires and Society for Creative Anachronism events from 1991 through 2002. Influences on our style included: Silly Wizard, Steeleye Span, the John Renbourn Group, Boiled in Lead, Jolly Beggar and the Medæval Bæbes.

The Wild Oats played their last concert on October 25th, 2002 at Lestat's Coffeehouse in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego. It's been a fantastic run, and we couldn't have done it without our fans. Keep buying the CDs-- there's plenty left!
