Artist description
In October of 1995, Rob Dang said to Adam Doud, "Let's form a band." Adam's response: "OK, I'm bored." Little did they know that two such small statements would form a powerful legacy.Over the years, band members have rotated in and out relatively consistently. Even Rob Dang, Adam's friend and cofounder, left the band for personal reasons. In August of 1999, the current and permanent lineup came together. It consists of Adam Doud on bass guitar and lead vocals, Ed Aviles on drums, Mark Petzold on rhythm guitar, and Mark Zavorski on lead guitar and backup vocals. The band itself continues of three principles: have fun, make our growing audience happy, and stay metal. Without any of those three, the band could not continue. Our catalogue of influences ranges from Metallica and Anthrax to Bach and Mozart. Our goal is to remind audiences of what the metal revolution of the late 70's and early 80's was about.Since its formation, MGB has recorded two CD's (four songs each), performed all around the Chicagoland Area, been played and requested numerous times on radio stations, distributed 100's of CDs and built a massive informational web site at: http://www.mgbmusic.com.MGB made its performance debut on September 9, 1999 (a mere month after coming together) and since we have crossed the city wreaking metal havoc on any audience we come in contact with. We don't pour gasoline on a crowd or do anything weird. We just destroy them with music.MGB is the newest and best metal artists in the Midwest. Under the leadership of Adam, the band has flourished and kept crowds interested and returning. Any future obstacles are feeble and far off. MGB will continue to grow, in experience, creativity and popularity, until they overflow. Then, they'll just get a bigger glass. |
