Damnation is also Sam's brainchild. However, we liked it and he gave it to us. Out of respect for him, we kept the song mostly as is (the solo is a little different. Upon leaving MGB, Sam gave us the song under the condition that we change the lyrics... We're still working on it...cough... Since recording this song on What Did You Expect? we have added a third verse that Sam had wrote. Of course, if you want to hear the third verse, I guess you'll just have to come see us live. BE AWARE!!! - THIS SONG WAS RECORDED UNDER A DIFFERENT ERA FOR MGB. IT IS NOT INDICATIVE OF CURRENT WORK. WE STILL PLAY THEM, BUT THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT! |

Death's Dance originated from a bass riff that was to be used in Look to the Moon, but never worked out. Adam wrote the song based on a passage in "Masquerades", a TSR novel by Elaine Cunningham. It was also inspired by Metallica's "Devil's Dance" bootleg which I found on the Internet long before it was released on CD. Adam worte the song on Christmas of 1996. Look to the Moon was the second song completed by MGB. Adam wrote it in January of 1996 based on two poems he had written long before the band was an idea. MGB stumbled onto the song, as it used to be a cover of the song "Physical" (a cover by NIN). Eventually, we modified it into the existing song.
