Artist History
I begain singing professionally at 3 years of age. My mother and aunt Helen would take me to Asheville, NC, where I would sing on street corners and bars for nickels and dimes. I would sing to soldiers and sailors mostly. This was during World War II. I started playing guitar and banjo around 7 or 8 years with my family members. In 1990, I created "Blue Ridge Mountain Music", a series of 3 tapes(Volume I, II &III)sold through the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Great Smokey Mountains National Park and gift outlets all over the USA. I also have a series of music for railfans, sold in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan. My wife,Kristin an I currently do a music and storytelling show "Steel Rails Hummin'". Presently, we do shows for schools, museums, colleges and coffee shops in and around Charlotte, NC. |
