Artist History
Michael Jahnz is the former lead vocalist for REO Speedwagon founder and guitarist Gary Richrath, who sold over 20 million albums writing and performing such monster hits as "Ridin' the Storm Out," and "Take It on the Run." They joined forces in 1989 to form the band Richrath, combining Gary's amazing guitar talent with Michael's remarkable voice. After touring non-stop for several years, the great chemistry between the two talented musicians led to a label deal with Crescendo Records and the release of "Only the Strong Survive" in 1992. Says Gary Richrath, "Michael Jahnz is a tremendous singer and songwriter. His songs are just dynamite!" So good, in fact, that Richrath shared songwriting responsibilities, and credits him with nearly half of the 13 songs that appear on the CD. The Richrath Band then resumed touring the country, performing over 1,000 concerts nation-wide featuring a blend of new materials by Michael and Gary, as well as classic REO hits. Now blazing his own trail, Michael Jahnz has released a new CD. Titled "Project 3:13," it delivers just the right combination of hard rockers and power ballads that highlight his dynamic vocal talent, rendering a top-notch performance by a band straight from America's heartland. |

Press Reviews
Maximum Ink Music Magazine: "Michael Jahnz has that REO connection with his work with Gary Richrath and it shows with ultra smooth solos and slick harmonies in his new "Project 3:13." [Jahnz is] a strong writer of glossy power rock that's fit for arena's with soaring chords and skyrocketing solos."
