Artist History
Scott Shetler has appeared on many albums and toured throughout the world as a side man and arranger with great artists such as,Johnny Adams,Mighty Sam Macclain,Michelle"Evil Gal" Willson and Gene Pitney to name a few.During these tours many of the tunes on this recording were written for use in the shows as instrumental pieces.Several years ago at the encouragement of the musicians I have worked with I started the C'monMan group and have been performing and recording this music in addition to continuing my work with other artists. |

Press Reviews
"SCOTTY SHETLER also has a new CD. C'MON MAN is very sweet, straight ahead jazz. Everybody loves a saxophone player and Scotty has accompanied anumber of Blues Society Blues Band Battle winners to Memphis for the Internantional comp. The CD has no vocals, it is all horns and rhythm. There is a pervasive sense of humor to it, too. 'Loozahville' is a goodexample. It has some nice solos by piano man, Ken Cook, and guitar by LarryCarsman, bassman Jessie Williams, and the song swings with a little chuckleon the side. Scott has a real ability to make that sax talk to us and herehe plays clarinet as well. There is some wonderful sexy jazz on thisrecord. Very nice. If you own a bar you have got to play this one in your dining room, and I mean that as a sincere compliment to the record.Diana Shonk Blues Audience Featured Artist: Scott Shetler CD Title: C'mon Man Year: 1998 Record Label: SS Style: Contemporary Jazz Musicians: Scott Shetler, saxophones & bass clarinet. Review: Scott Shetler does some fine saxophone work with his original compositions on the entertaining CD, "C'mon Man," a lively collection ofsounds, harmony, and entertainment! The selection, "Singapore," with KenCook on keyboards and other top-notch musicians performing together with Scott Shetler, is a great little number worthy of play time on the jazzradio stations! There are 10 selections on this CD, and each is highly individual andenjoyable contemporary jazz listening. Other songs include "Soul Strutt,""Plunk," the wonderful little jazz piece called "Loozaville" which is uniquely original in its sound and melody, and performance, and the songs"C'mon Man," and "Rush Hour." For something refreshingly pleasant and jazzy, Scott Shetler's "C'mon Man"CD is a treat to the ears! Excellent performances by all! "One Scotch" is another great song on this CD!
