as the rhythm section rides a crossover between brazilian 'baião' and be-bop, guitar provides clean tones a la Eric Johnson and keys plays Chick Corea influenced lines. Above all are Mingo's unique voice, singing about Aracaju's beauties and beaches ('Atalaia' is the most famous of them) |

This electrified 'frevo' is a astounding tribute to the 'TRIO ELÉTRICO', a genuine brazilian invention and to all its importance to Brazilian Carnival and general popular culture. Lito Nascimento plays excellent lines on 'GUITARRA BAIANA' (also a brazilian creation), a 5-string little electric guitar tuned in fifths like a 'bandolim', and heavily overdriven. |
