The 2002 U.S./International Songwriting Competition honored "When You Grow Up" with one of ten finalist positions in the Children's category, while the 2002 John Lennon Songwriting Contest breveted "Your Mommy's Prayer" for one of three finalist slots in that category. In 2001, these competitions had distinguished the same two songs, with the 2001 U.S./International Songwriting Competition tapping "Your Mommy's Prayer" with a runner-up position in the Children's category, and the 2001 John Lennon Songwriting Contest gaving the nod to "When You Grow Up" for the same. Jim Grauer, the lyricist for these songs, was one of two entrants out of 60,000 that secured winning positions in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for both consecutive years running.
