In Memory of Shelly Manne is a quintet for oboe and four 'cellos. It was commissioned by Jerome Kessler for his Los Angeles 'Cello Quartet. The oboist was Earl Dummler. It was taped off the radio from a live chamber music broadcast which took place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History. |

Fiddle-de-Bop, a jazz rondo, was commissioned by violinist Linda Rosenthal for the Juneau (Alaska) Jazz and Classics Festival. It is from Linda's CD, with Lincoln at the piano and, on this track, Geoffrey Levine on string bass. This CD contains "groovy" American repertoire including pieces by Copland, Foss, Still, and Stravinsky. |
