	Story Behind the Song The idea for the Pacific Harmony Festival came about in July of 1995 when a "Friendship Agreement" was inaugurated between Japan's Musicians' Rights Commission and the Recording Musicians' Association, trade union of the American Federation of Musicians AFL/CIO. This bond assented out of a business arrangement between the Recording Musicians Association of the United States and Geidankyo (Center for Performing Arts Administration). This agreement led to the establishment of the Record Rentals Remuneration Fund and provides for disbursements of record royalties to American singers and musicians. With total cooperation from the RMA and RMA-J, plans to cooperatively and harmoniously co-produce a cross-cultural international concert began. The first annual Pacific Harmony Festival is scheduled to take place July of 2001 in Tokyo, Japan. The Pacific Harmony Festival will include the world's preeminent concert and recording artists embodying all musical styles. Distinguished U.S., Japanese and Korean studio musicians will comprise a multi-national orchestra of unprecedented size and caliber. While not sharing a common spoken language, the musicians will be featured in the common language of music performing familiar and new compositions. Time will be devoted to prominent speakers and for featured premieres of video documentaries by celebrated filmmakers accompanied by pre-recorded original orchestral scores. Multi-media presentations featuring dancers and other performance artists will also be incorporated. Music, in its many cross-cultural and ethnic manifestations will be performed utilizing the international language of grace and harmony. We will communicate our theme through the marriage of music, dance, art and film in cooperation with chosen humanitarian and environmental organizations. We are confident that this musical benefit will garner tremendous support and success worldwide. As a result, we have created the Environment of People Foundation, which shall provide substantial funding to international charities by way of grant underwriting, marketing of promotional merchandise and sales of recorded live concert. The Environment of People Foundation will provide an educational model for younger generations by illustrating the conscientious spirit of these artists. A primary goal of the Pacific Harmony Festival is to provide a positive example to the world's children of people working in harmony. The Festival will stress the importance of growth and understanding to those whom attend, including television and webcast audiences. Our Goal Our goal is to educate the world’s children of the importance of people living and working in harmony. Our objective is to raise awareness and provide significant funding for numerous educational and charitable organizations, specifically those organizations emphasizing music and the arts.
