Justin Cody was born and raised in Sauk City, Wisconsin. He started playing piano at the age of 7. Throughout his life he has been active in musical endeavors including recitals, musicals, recording , performances with jazz and rock groups, directing choirs, and commissions. In 1998, he attended the Interlochen Arts Camp and studied composition with Kevin Beavers. He is currently studying composition with John Beall and piano with James Miltenberger. Last spring, he was a Young Artist Winner performing the Lowell Liebermann Second Piano Concerto. He is graduating this spring and plans to attend Graduate School.
