This is my most recent piece. After the introduction, the form is fast-slow-fast. The triumphant theme that the trumpets play in the fast sections for some reason reminds me of the theme for the old “Inspector Gadget” cartoon. Don’t ask me why. The mood of course is completely different. |

This is a trio I wrote for a group at Kent State University. I think it's pretty good considering it's my first. The instrument combination was a bit strange: flute, bassoon, and euphonium. It has a middle-eastern feel, and brought up the image of a snake charmer. "The Snake Charmer" seemed too specific for me, so I just shortened it. |
