    Hi!

My first name is Ichiro -- call me "hiro"(pronounce "Hero").

My Last name is NAKAGAWA. Kanjis are very simple -- NAKA means something central. And KAWA means a creak or river.

I was born in 1960 in Tokyo, Japan. I was raised in Tokyo.

In early '80s, I participated in a Tokyo-based new wave rock band called "Zettai Reido" that means Absolute Zero degree. Those days, the band was sometimes described as so aggressive and anarchic in its sounds as if a punk band was copying the King Crimson. I played the electric bass guitar with unique and aggressive picking, played the guitar, wrote some songs and sang in Japanese.

I had been away from activities as a player or a singer songwriter for 12 years since 1983.

In mid nineties, a couple of things happened to me to restart my music activities. Such as restart of music activities by Mr. HAYAKAWA Yoshio who should be noted as a legendary Japanese rocker who wrote original Japanese rock songs with a lot of essential phrases in late 60's after 25 years absence from Japan rock scene.

Since 1996, I have been acting as a weekend singer songwriter. I write original Japanese songs and play the electric acoustic guitar amplified with unique set of effects. My lyrics and songs are all Japanese because of my primary natural language. However, my songs, music, and guitar playing should be somewhat provocative and should cause some imagination and inspiration for the people who do not understand any Japanese phrases at all.

I encoded some of my takes into MP3 so that my music is accessible from the net globally. Even though describing the songs that are products of my subconsciousness might be nonsense, I believe that those descriptions should help first timers to be familiar with my stuff.

Enjoy my songs and please be free to express your feelings and send me a mail.

I play at events called chika kara Ku heEEfrom the underground to the sky or pretty vacancy -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
