is a trumpeter, composer, and is the former Music Director of the Chicago Brass Choir (1997-2002), which performed at the 2001 International Trumpet Guild Conference. A versatile performer in the Chicago area, he plays lead trumpet for the Chicago Grandstand Big Band, in wedding bands, and is a soloist for weddings.

He also teaches some four dozen students each week in the Chicago suburbs and has been an adjunct faculty member of Lewis University and Roosevelt University. Most recently, he has started StewMuse Publications, a music company that focuses on materials for developing trumpeters. His books "Courting the Upper Register,"and "CUR II:JAZZ," are collections of etudes designed to help develop trumpeters' higher range. StewMuse Publications also features arrangements and original compositions for small and large brass ensembles, as well as music for solo trumpet(s) and piano/organ.

It was originally performed for the show by natural trumpeter Don Smithers, but now is done (not nearly as well, mind you) by Doc Severinsen. This piece has been attributed to a number of composers, including Gottfried Reiche and Samuel Scheidt. "Stewart: Pastorale for Trpt & Organ" genre: Classical General

	This very delicate work for trumpet and organ features a flowing melody over somewhat slow-moving pedals.The melody grows out of its own simple, one-bar motive, rising in height and energy and then returning to its softerorigins. The organ part has a brief interlude before the return of the final trumpet statement.
