There's gotta be a Venue for this stuff...You write, record, oversdub, mix and work yourself to a finished product that you are jazzed about, only to see nothing for it other than the rush you get when the speakers rumble...It's a bad mix, but it still rocks in my opinion... |

This is dedicated to my main musical influences and personal friends, Kevin ("Oye'") Brown and Richard Dominguez. They were THERE and they know all about what was happening downtown when we were growing to love the music... |

Story about a man, his dog, his life, his ex-wife, his ups, downs all-arounds, and the wind that constantly sings the blues in the back of his mind late at night when most sane people are jumpin' bones or countin' sheep. |

My first natural child (Michella) was born when I was 42. Her arrival created this song when she was in her "crawling" stage. It's a song about an Old Man, finally enjoying fatherhood, and the love for the child who continues to be his main reason for being, after divorce. |

I sent about a dozen of my old Stones lp jackets to Keith. Never got 'em back. I also sent 'em a demo tape, when I read about Bill Wyman quitting. Same result. My naivete', I guess. This tune also deals a visit to Jim Morrison's grave in Paris, with a friend. And the simple fact that, after hundreds of hours of playing and doing the "Catbreth" thing, I was cocky enough to "blow off" my heroes. I ain't THIS cocky today! |

It ain't the flashiest looking axe, and it doesn't have all the horns 'n whistles, but more guitar-slingers who know how to play, know what the Telecaster can do.Mine is at the low-end of the Fender food chain, but in addition to forcing me to be a better guitar player I learned how to make it sound like any axe I choose. I name-list many of my heroes of this axe in this tune. |
