	Story Behind the Song When a Major Influence on my music (not some abstract hero, but one of my peers) dies.... I mean Jeff was someone whom I really worked hard with (as a bass player)... We'd known one another since this music thing became a really Big Deal...I had hopes of playing and possibly recording with him as my DRUMMER MAN , after many years. But he passed away, leaving this hope unrealized. This tune originally began as an acoustic Folk song (with fingerpicking and all that neat stuff). But it don't matter now. Songs evolve and good, old friends move on, leaving us poor living schmucks here on earth to ponder it's meaning. Guess I'm trying to say that I really miss that crustyassed bastard.
